Join the Global Entrepreneurship Week 2017. Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) is the world’s largest celebration of Entrepreneurship that occurs every year in November. It aims at celebrating creativity, innovation and job creation, and focuses on providing promotion and support for SMEs.

GEW Walk for Entrepreneurship

The GEW Walk for Entrepreneurship jump starts the activities for the week and aims at physically raising awareness and promoting entrepreneurship, creativity, innovation and job creation. The GEW walk will take place in five different geopolitical locations within Nigeria including Lagos. Find below the meeting points:

Youth Entrepreneurship Dialogue

Youth Entrepreneurship Dialogue (YED) is an annual forum that brings together 1000 young people during the GEW and exposes them to the different aspects of entrepreneurship. It attracts stakeholders including investors, entrepreneurs, academia, policy makers and knowledge experts under one purpose of Fast-tracking Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Development in Nigeria. The event records pitch sessions where three winners will be given seed money.

With speakers made up of successful entrepreneurs and those supporting them, the dialogue will be a platform to learn, connect and share ideas.

Women Enterprise Day

WED is a Global Entrepreneurship Week event and will be honouring Women Entrepreneurs in 2017. The Conference which usually has over 600 women participating in it annually is a full-day business conference that brings together female entrepreneurs, business experts, media, investors, and community and government leaders to support and celebrate women in business.

This dynamic event is designed to unite women entrepreneurs in all stages of business development.
With topics from sales and marketing to finance and technology, the Women Entrepreneurs Conference is the ultimate learning and professional development event for any woman starting or growing a business. Participants will also have the opportunity to meet and network with inspiring women leaders and entrepreneurs from across Nigeria.

The major highlight of the program is the pitching session where 5 women entrepreneurs will pitch their business ideas at the event to earn 2 free spots to exhibit at the Simply Nigeria Fair, scheduled for Sunday, November 19, 2017, as a platform to promote Women Entrepreneurship Day.

Social Sector Dialogue

The social sector is a driving force for change in our society. The event focuses on building sustainable processes and structures within the non-profit organizations. This would be a great opportunity for those who operate in the social space the opportunity to network and possibly start joint projects together.

Social sector dialogue will help organization or individual in the social space understand and discuss how to operate more sustainably and create value to the society
